The Trojan Horse / HD Vidéo envoyée par La_Boite_Visual_Art
The Trojan Horse is an anti-piracy trailer conceived for the 59th edition of the Locarno Film Festival. Noticed by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations) and Warner Bros, this antipiracy trailer aims to make people attentive to the consequences of an illegal use of the images diffused during the Festival. In its first version this trailer was created on a standard definition format (768 x 576). For the 60th edition of the Festival (august 2007) the trailer has been redesigned (new Maya shapes, lights and textures, Mental ray rendering) and improved (more visual and sound effects) for the High Definition quality. Thanks to a partnership with XDC, images are encoded in order to be screened on a server basis following D-Cinema specifications (1920 x 1080), on the sites of the Piazza Grande, of the Auditorium Fevi, of La Sala and of the Rialto 2. On the others sites, The Trojan Horse is screened in Standard Definition (E-Cinema). The originality of this project is to introduce a bit of irony in a serious domain as antipiracy policy, making the audience not refusing it… the claim “please, don’t capture movies” is easy comprehensible and effective. written & directed by Patricia Boillat & Elena Gugliuzza 3d modeling & animation: Patricia Boillatediting: Elena Gugliuzza sound design & mix: Patricia Boillat visual effects: Elena Gugliuzzaproduction: La Boite Visual Art © 2006 - 2007festival: Animago 2007 | Trailers original title: The Trojan Horse duration: 40" video: PAL | color | 4:3 & HD | color | 16:9audio: stereo date of completion SD: july 2006 date of completion HD: april 2007 original version: french | english | italianprojection supports: DCP-HD | Beta Dig - SP | DVD genre: trailer | animation isan:0000-0001-AD53-0000-K-0000-0000-E
